Girl's Bedroom Makeover with Serena & Lily Priano Wallpaper

Space Planning
One of my main objectives for this project was to get the bed away from the wall. It is so difficult to make the bed when one side is against the wall, and this room has plenty of space, so this was a priority. From there, I needed to plan some play areas for the Barbie and LOL Houses, along with a place for her dresser.
Rug & Bedding
It was kind of a no-brainer for me to select this rug. It's Rifle Paper Co Eden Lattice in Ivory and ties everything together in here so well. It's Loloi's CloudPile, so it's super soft--perfect for playtime. I have it in another color in our master bedroom and like it in navy, too.
As you can see, I've changed up the bedding a little bit. I kept it simple and chose a Better Homes & Gardens comforter from Walmart, and paired it with mint oxford sheets from Pottery Barn Kids. I love the ruffle detail on the top sheet and pillowcases. The dust ruffle and shams are vintage 90s Ralph Lauren from Ebay and the quilt on the end of the bed is another Ebay find--a brand new Serena & Lily quilt with tassels. I love finding things in unexpected places or thinking out of the box to get the look I want.
It's taken a while to put everything together, but that's kind of the fun of it for me.
I only used wallpaper on one wall, so I found a coordinating white for the rest of the room. It was so much more economical to just do an accent wall and I liked keeping it nice a bright with a white. I believe the color is SW Greek Isle.
New Paragraph
I can't remember the first example of fluted wood furniture I saw, but it was probably either this gorgeous custom wood bathroom vanity from Chris Loves Julia , or the DIY fluted coffee table Fariha shared on Pennies for a Fortune . The custom cabinetry was done professionally using a router for each line, which isn't something I possess the skills to do. This did help inspire the colors I used in our bathroom remodel, though! I really connected to the method Fariha used to build the coffee table--wooden dowels. What a fabulous idea!
I did a little refresh in our daughter's room, and I decided we needed some large-scale art. I actually planned to order a print, but inspiration struck on a trip to HomeGoods when I saw two HUGE framed canvases on clearance for $25 and $9. I grabbed them up and headed home, with my head filled with ideas on what to do with them.
